Monday 10th June '19
The first week of June got off to a strong start as stocks were bolstered by expectations that the Fed would cut short term interest rates this year. The S&P 500’s performance marked the best week of the year and the index is currently 3% short of its all-time high. Meanwhile, European stock markets such as Germany’s DAX and Italy’s FTSE MIB gained almost 3%; while the STOXX Europe 600 Index and UK’S FTSE 100 rose more than 2%.
