Enablers
These companies develop the building block components for artificial intelligence,
such as advanced machinery, autonomous systems/self-driving vehicles, semiconductors, or databases used for machine learning. Examples of enablers include companies providing graphics processing units (GPUs), neural processing units (NPUs), high-bandwidth memory (HBM), data infrastructure, other data inference and training accelerators & processors.
Enablers are key players in the AI space, representing 50% in our strategy.
Engagers
These companies design, create, integrate, or deliver artificial intelligence in the
form of products, software, or systems. Examples of engagers include companies providing AI-powered cybersecurity solutions, AI content creation or design software, digital twin and simulation software, autonomous robotics and logistics systems.
Engagers represent 40% in our strategy.
Enhancers
These companies provide their own value-added services within the AI ecosystem that are not core to their product or service offering. Examples of enhancers include companies providing AI innovation within a larger e-commerce product and AI deployment within an electric vehicle.
Enhancers represent 10% in our strategy.

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) is the trade association representing the US consumer technology industry, providing policy advocacy, market research, technical education, standards development and more.
CTA has partnered with Nasdaq since 2010 providing guidance for indices in numerous technology segments including artificial intelligence & robotics, cybersecurity, cloud computing, mobile payments, and smartphones.
