Alejandro Saltiel
Head of Indexes, U.S.
Alejandro Saltiel joined WisdomTree in May 2017 as part of the US Quantitative Research team. Alejandro oversees the firm’s Equity indexes and actively managed ETFs. He is also involved in the design and analysis of new and existing strategies. Alejandro leads the quantitative analysis efforts across equities and alternatives and contributes to the firm’s website tools and model portfolio infrastructure.
Prior to joining WisdomTree, Alejandro worked at HSBC Asset Management’s Mexico City office as Portfolio Manager for multi-asset mutual funds. Alejandro received his Master’s in Financial Engineering degree from Columbia University in 2017 and a Bachelor’s in Engineering degree from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) in 2010. He is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Aneeka Gupta
Director, Macroeconomic Research, WisdomTree
Aneeka Gupta is a Director within WisdomTree’s European research team, focussing on equities and commodities. With 20 years of experience, she has worked across a range of asset classes and is a regular industry commentator in financial media. In her current role, she is responsible for conducting analysis for all in-house equity, commodity and macro publications and assisting the sales team with client queries around products and markets.
Aneeka holds a master’s degree in Mathematics from Oxford University and a bachelor’s in Mathematics from the University of Delhi, India. She is also a CFA charterholder.
Ayush Babel
Director, Quantitative Research
Ayush Babel is a Director in WisdomTree's multi-asset and quantitative research team, as well as the index research team. In this role, he focuses on developing innovative quantitative strategies across various asset classes and supports WisdomTree's diverse range of products. His expertise includes factor exploration, portfolio construction and optimisation, and product development.
With nearly a decade of experience in the financial services industry, Ayush has held positions in investment research teams at J.P. Morgan and Franklin Templeton. At these institutions, he was responsible for developing and managing equity and fixed income smart beta products, as well as cross-asset risk premia products for global institutional and retail clients. His experience spans a range of asset classes and investment styles.
Ayush holds both a bachelor's and master’s degree in Engineering Physics and Nano Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
Baoqi Zhu
Senior Associate, Quantitative Research and Multi Asset Solutions
Baoqi Zhu joined WisdomTree in 2023 as a Senior Associate on the Research team. Baoqi focuses on quantitative research on thematic equity indices and portfolio solutions. Prior to WisdomTree, Baoqi spent over two years at Ernst & Young (EY) in their Quantitative Advisory Services, where he was involved in the research and development of quantitative risk models. Earlier in his career, Baoqi served as a quantitative analyst within a multi-asset structuring team at Maven Global for more than three years. His responsibilities included designing and optimising bespoke hedging strategies based on derivatives.
Baoqi holds a MSc in Financial Engineering & Risk Management from Imperial College London and a BSc in Actuarial Science from Nankai University, China. He is also a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
Blake Heimann
Senior Associate, Quantitative Research, WisdomTree
Blake Heimann joined WisdomTree in 2020 and supports the creation, maintenance, and reconstitution of WisdomTree’s indices. Blake began his career in finance in 2017 as an Analyst at TD Ameritrade and, later, a Quantitative Analyst with a focus on the development of machine learning applications in finance.
Blake has bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics and Economics from Iowa State University, as well as a master’s in Computer Science from Georgia Tech, with a specialisation in Machine Learning. He is currently pursuing a master’s in Finance from the London School of Economics.
Christopher Gannatti
Global Head of Research, WisdomTree.
Christopher Gannatti leads WisdomTree’s global research team, bringing a wealth of experience to the business. Since joining in December 2010, Chris has risen through the ranks before taking the helm in 2021.
With his global remit, Chris has played a pivotal role in shaping WisdomTree’s US and European initiatives. His expertise lies in equities and technology thematics, with an emphasis on storytelling and strategic insights. Based in the US, he works closely with Jeremy Schwartz, Global CIO.
Prior to WisdomTree, Chris worked at Lord Abbett as a Regional Consultant, engaging with financial advisors in the Midwest. He holds a degree in Economics from Colgate University and an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business, with concentrations in Quantitative Finance, Accounting, and Economics. He is also a CFA charterholder. A true visionary, Chris is recognised for his thought leadership and ability to communicate complex strategies effectively.
Dovile Silenskyte
Director, Digital Assets Research
Dovile holds an MSc in Finance from Texas A&M University – Commerce, and she is also a chartered financial analyst (CFA).
Elvira Kuramshina
Associate Director, Quantitative Research
Elvira has been a member of the WisdomTree Research team since September 2018. With over nine years of experience in the ETF and asset management industry and an academic background in quantitative finance, Elvira combines technical expertise with thematic strategy insights to contribute to thought leadership research and the development of new innovative strategies at WisdomTree.
As a lead specialist in thematic strategies, she supports the periodic review and rebalancing of thematic portfolios, delivers quantitative insights, bespoke analysis for clients, strategic thought pieces as well as commentary on market trends and thematic strategies. She also develops comprehensive product collateral designed to support client needs.
Jason Guthrie
Head of Digital Asset Product and Head of Digital Assets
Previously Guthrie was head of Capital Markets for WisdomTree in Europe for 4 years, where his team was responsible for ensuring clients had a smooth trade execution experience. Prior to joining WisdomTree, Guthrie worked at Deutsche Bank’s ETF Capital Markets group as well as Macquarie Bank as an Investment Executive based in Sydney, Australia. Jason holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from Macquarie University in Sydney.
Jeff Weniger, CFA
Head of Equity Strategy
Jeff Weniger, CFA serves as Head of Equity Strategy at WisdomTree. In his role, Weniger helps to formulate the firm’s stock market outlook by assessing macro and fundamental trends. Prior to joining WisdomTree, he was Director, Senior Strategist at BMO, where he worked in the office of the CIO from 2006 to 2017. He served on the firm’s Asset Allocation Committee and co-managed the firm’s ETF model portfolios for both the U.S. and Canada. In 2013, at the age of 32, Jeff was chosen as the youngest member of BMO’s Global Investment Forum, which collected the firm’s top global strategists to formulate the firm’s official long-term outlook for investment trends and markets. Jeff has a B.S. in Finance from the University of Florida and an MBA from Notre Dame. He has been a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of Chicago since 2006. He has appeared in various financial publications such as Barron’s and the Wall Street Journal and makes regular appearances on Canada’s Business News Network (BNN) and Wharton Business Radio.
Jeremy Schwartz
Global Chief Investment Officer
Jeremy Schwartz has served as our Global Chief Investment Officer since November 2021 and leads WisdomTree’s investment strategy team in the construction of WisdomTree’s equity Indexes, quantitative active strategies and multi-asset Model Portfolios. Jeremy joined WisdomTree in May 2005 as a Senior Analyst, adding Deputy Director of Research to his responsibilities in February 2007. He served as Director of Research from October 2008 to October 2018 and as Global Head of Research from November 2018 to November 2021. Before joining WisdomTree, he was a head research assistant for Professor Jeremy Siegel and, in 2022, became his co-author on the sixth edition of the book Stocks for the Long Run. Jeremy is also co-author of the Financial Analysts Journal paper “What Happened to the Original Stocks in the S&P 500?” He received his B.S. in economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and hosts the Wharton Business Radio program Behind the Markets on SiriusXM 132. Jeremy is a member of the CFA Society of Philadelphia.
Kate Donegan
Associate Director, Product Legal and ESG
Kate Donegan is an Associate Director on WisdomTree’s Product Legal and ESG team in Europe. Since joining WisdomTree, Kate has been particularly focused on the structuring and launch of ESG focused exchange-traded products (ETPs) as well as sustainability initiatives at the corporate level. Kate joined WisdomTree in July 2021 from A&L Goodbody in Dublin, where she was part of the firm’s Asset Management and Investment Funds department. Kate holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Trinity College, Dublin and is a qualified lawyer in Ireland and the UK.
Kevin Flanagan
Head of Fixed Income Strategy
Kevin Flanagan joined WisdomTree in 2016 as Senior Fixed Income Strategist. He contributes to the asset allocation team and provides expertise on WisdomTree’s global fixed income content. Prior to joining WisdomTree, Kevin spent 30 years at Morgan Stanley, where he was most recently a Managing Director. He was responsible for tactical and strategic recommendations and created asset allocation models for fixed income securities. He was a contributor to the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Global Investment Committee, primary author of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management’s monthly and weekly fixed income publications, and collaborated with the firm’s Research and Consulting Group Divisions to build ETF and fund manager asset allocation models. Kevin has an MBA from Pace University’s Lubin Graduate School of Business, and a B.S in Finance from Fairfield University.
Luca Berlanda
Associate Director, Quantitative Research
Before joining WisdomTree in 2022, Luca worked as a Quantitative Portfolio Manager at Euclidea SIM, a Milan-based fintech where he quantitatively managed multi-asset portfolios and developed and implemented statistical and machine learning models for investment strategies and fund selection.
Luca holds a Master's degree in Finance from Bocconi University, Milan.
Michael Delew
Head of Capital Markets
Michael is Head of Capital Markets at WisdomTree, having joined the firm in 2018. In his role, Michael produces regular research on ETF liquidity, trading and pricing, and leads the firm’s relationship management in EMEA with sell side entities. Michael began his career at Invesco, where he worked for the company for seven and a half years, in their Chicago, Dublin, and London offices and where he was responsible for leading operations in a companywide initiative to expand the ETF range in EMEA.
Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations with an Economics Concentration from Wheaton College, Illinois
Mobeen Tahir
Director, Research
Mobeen is a member of WisdomTree’s research team where he focuses on a wide range of asset classes to offer strategic and tactical insights to our clients on global markets and investment products.
Before joining WisdomTree in December 2018, Mobeen worked at Willis Towers Watson as an investment consultant advising institutional clients as well as their in-house fund business on asset allocation and portfolio construction with his research focus being equity and multi-asset smart beta.
Mobeen has a BSc (Hons) in Accounting and Financial Management from Loughborough University and an MSc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is also a CFA Charterholder.
Nitesh Shah
Head of Commodities and Macroeconomic Research, WisdomTree Europe
Nitesh Shah is a seasoned financial professional with over 24 years of experience in research and investment strategy. As Head of Commodities & Macroeconomic Research at WisdomTree Europe, he leads market analysis and insights across asset classes, with a focus on commodities and exchange-traded products. Previously, he held roles at Moody’s, HSBC Investment Bank, The Pension Protection Fund, and Decision Economics, building expertise in market analysis and strategy.
Nitesh earned a master’s degree in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University and a bachelor's in Economics from the London School of Economics. His insights are frequently featured in financial media, and he is a sought-after speaker at industry events. He also hosts the ‘Commodity Exchange’ podcast, where he discusses trends shaping global markets. Passionate about guiding investors, Nitesh provides actionable insights to help them navigate complex financial landscapes.

Pierre Debru
Head of Research, WisdomTree Europe.
Pierre Debru leads WisdomTree’s European research team and plays a pivotal role in the strategic direction of our European research efforts. His key areas of expertise extend across equity factors and quantitative strategies, portfolio construction and model portfolios, and thematic and crypto investments.
Before joining the company in 2019, Pierre worked in Investment Research for DWS and the Xtrackers range for over five years. During this period, he focused on smart beta investments, model portfolio construction and thought leadership. Pierre has over 20 years of experience in investments and structured asset management. He graduated from Ecole Central Paris and obtained a Master of Science in Mathematics applied to Finance.

Macro Strategist, Model Portfolios
Sam Rines serves as a Macro Strategist, Model Portfolios at WisdomTree, extending the firm’s custom model portfolio management capabilities. Before WisdomTree, Samuel was a Managing Director of CORBU, a research firm we struck up a relationship with to deliver model portfolios. Samuel is a global macro expert focused on the investment implications of politics and policy. His PolyMacro research has been widely followed by large family offices, institutional investors and the media. Before joining CORBU, Samuel was the Chief Economist and Investment Strategist at Avalon Advisors. Before joining Avalon, Samuel was a portfolio manager at Chilton Capital Management, where he launched the Chilton ESG Equity Strategy and a long/short technology portfolio. Samuel started his career as the cross-asset analyst for a small hedge fund. He is the author of the book “After Normal: Making Sense of the Global Economy”.

Tobias Lazar is an Associate Director in WisdomTree’s Quantitative Research Team, where he focuses on developing innovative exchange-traded products across various asset classes and supporting WisdomTree’s diverse range of offerings.
Before joining WisdomTree, he worked in the index research and development teams at Nasdaq and Solactive, where he was responsible for developing equity and alternative risk premia indices.
Tobias holds an MSc in Financial Engineering from the University of Birmingham, UK, a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Cologne, and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).
