EMERGING EQUITIES ROLLING FUTURES INDEX
The Emerging Equities Rolling Futures Index is an USD denominated Index that aims to provide exposure to the performance of a basket composed of the Front Quarter and Second Quarter mini MSCI Emerging Markets Index Futures contract listed on the ICE FUTURES US. Exchange Due to the regular expiration of futures contracts, a quarterly rolling method is employed whereby the index holdings roll over from the currently held Quarterly mini MSCI Emerging Markets Index Futures to the next Quarterly mini MSCI Emerging Markets Index Futures contract in constant USD terms so that the Index remains 100 per cent invested in the contracts.
Even though the index measures excess return performance based on the futures price performance and the roll return, the ETP provides a total return performance which also includes the interest revenue on the collateralised amount.
